My name is Carole Govin, I am from France and I’ve living in Québec since July 2015. I have a baccalauréat in literature from France. I came to Québec to study art at the Cégep de Baie-Comeau, nevertheless since childhood I love to understand how nature works. Thanks to my technical diploma in wildlife planning, I learned a lot about biology which led me to start my bachelor’s in biology at Université du Québec à Rimouski. I discovered a passion for fish thanks to my courses in ichthyology and sea fishing during my technical degree. Since 2020, I am part of the LAB by working on the eel project. During Autumn 2020 and Winter 2021, I studied the contamination of mercury and methylmercury in different tissues in the American eel (Anguilla rostrata). Currently, I am working for David Deslauriers to help prepare the different projects of the master and doctoral students relating with fishes.
